Improving knowledge use through content synthesis

Scientific data and evidence can often be too technical—and dry—for a general audience. I have worked with many partner organizations to synthesize this evidence into products that are more digestible for a range of audiences—from advocates to policy makers to program managers. One recent example of this work is the latest issue of the Pan American Health Organizations’ Health in the Americas report on the topic of disease elimination, published in 2024. Distilling scientific content down—without diluting the meaning—is an important way to ensure that the latest knowledge is applied in relevant programs, policies, and services.
